Buddy
Buddy for nonprofits

Your donors never saw what their gift built.

Impact updates and volunteer call-outs sent by email get a handful of opens. On WhatsApp, supporters who said yes see the story in minutes, and volunteers confirm the shift with one reply.

Fundraising: appeals people act on

The appeal goes to the supporters it fits, with a photo of what last year's gift built, and you see who read it and who gave the same afternoon.

Volunteers
Shift filled within the hour

Volunteers: every shift filled before the day

The call-out goes to the volunteers tagged for that location. They reply to confirm, and by the evening you know exactly who is coming.

Supporter care: every reply in one inbox

Replies arrive sorted by what people mean, a yes, a question, a missing receipt, and get answered in the same thread. Nobody copies numbers into a spreadsheet.

She gave in December.Your thank-you email went to promotions. Your WhatsApp message, with a photo of what her gift built, was read in three minutes.

Your supporters don't ignore you. They ignore the inbox.

Updates get filtered, the volunteer call-out gets buried under work email, the shared phone gets passed around. The same supporter opens WhatsApp dozens of times a day and replies in seconds.

The donor update lands in promotions and gets a handful of opens.
Monthly donors, first-time givers and volunteers all get the same email.
Shift confirmations scattered across email, a shared phone and a spreadsheet.
With Buddy, supporters opt in at your events and on your donate page, each message fits who they are, and every reply lands in one inbox.

From the gala door to their WhatsApp in three steps.

A QR code at the door, a widget on the donate page. Buddy handles everything after that.

Supporters opt in, anywhere

A supporter scans the QR at the gala or ticks a box on your donate page. Buddy records the consent and where it came from.

Plays you set once and leave running.

Every donor thanked, every gift shown at work.

A thank-you the moment they give, the impact story a few weeks later, a gentle ask to go monthly. Each flow tags them the moment they reply.

Every reply, sorted by what supporters mean.

Interested, question, follow up, not now. Your team answers in the thread.

Consent your trustees can sign off on.

Every opt-in is recorded with where and when it happened: the gala QR, the donate page, the import. One word from a supporter stops every message, and that is recorded too.

Ask a question
Can a charity message supporters on WhatsApp?

Yes. Buddy is built on the official WhatsApp Business Platform and every message is permission-based: each opt-in is recorded with its source, and opt-out is honoured on the spot. Meta's messaging policies apply, and you decide what you send.

How do supporters opt in?

Through an opt-in page or a QR code at your events, a widget on your donate page, or an import of supporters who already said yes. Each consent is recorded with where and when it was given.

Can volunteers confirm a shift by replying?

Yes. Replies land in one inbox, sorted by what people mean, and an automation can tag each reply so you see at a glance who is coming on Saturday.

Can we send an appeal to only some supporters?

Yes. Tag supporters by how they give, where they volunteer or which events they came to, and send each WhatsApp message to the audience it fits. A monthly donor and a first-time giver never get the same message.

How does Buddy handle supporters' personal data?

Buddy is built for GDPR. You choose which fields come in, consent and opt-out are kept on record, and our DPA and privacy policy set out the rest.

What does WhatsApp charge for these messages?

Meta charges for business messages by type and by the supporter's country. Your Buddy plan is separate from that.

Let every supporter see the good they did.
