Buddy
Buddy for logistics and delivery

Stop knocking on doors when nobody's home.

The "arriving today" email gets opened at 7pm, after the driver has knocked. Send it on WhatsApp and the customer reads it over breakfast and replies "leave it with the neighbour".

Dispatch: fewer vans back full of parcels

The morning update reaches everyone on today's run. The customer who won't be in tells you before the driver sets off, not after the knock.

Drivers: the day's plan on the phone they already carry

Routes, shift changes and depot notices reach every driver who opted in, one clear message each instead of a group chat that scrolls away. An "OK" back tells you who's in before the shift.

Customer care: every reply in one place

Replies arrive sorted by what people mean: a question, a new time, a note for the driver. Your team answers in the same thread, and nobody has to ring the depot.

The driver knocked at 2:10. Nobody was in.The email was opened at 7:42 that evening. On WhatsApp, she read it at 8:03 that morning and replied.

Customers don't miss the delivery. They miss the email about it.

The "out for delivery" email sits under forty others. The SMS has nowhere to reply, so the customer rings the depot or isn't home. The same person checks WhatsApp all day and answers in seconds.

With Buddy, customers opt in at checkout, each update fits the job, and every "leave it with the neighbour" reaches one inbox.

Three steps from checkout to a parcel in hand.

One tick at checkout, or one call from your own system. After that, everything runs inside Buddy.

1

They opt in at checkout

A customer ticks "Send my delivery updates on WhatsApp" in your widget, or your own system adds them with a tag in one call.

The morning update goes out as a WhatsApp message. When a driver can't deliver, your team tags the customer and the follow-up runs by itself.

A customer who says "leave it with the neighbour" at 8am is a parcel you never drive back to the depot.

"Can you come after 5?"Question

Every reply, already sorted by intent.

Question, follow up, not now. Dispatch answers in the thread and passes the note to the driver.

Consent given at checkout, kept on record.

Every opt-in is saved with where and when it happened. One word from the customer stops all messages, and that is saved too.

Ask a question
Does Buddy send delivery updates on its own?

Yes. Your booking or shipping system tags each customer as the parcel moves, with one API call: out for delivery, delivery attempted, awaiting pickup. Each tag starts its own flow, so the live update goes out by itself and every reply comes back to your team.

How do customers opt in?

At checkout, with a tick in the Buddy website widget, or with one API call from your own system when they say yes. Or through an opt-in page or QR code at the counter, or an import of people who already agreed.

Can we message our drivers too?

Yes. Drivers who opt in are subscribers like anyone else. Tag them by route or shift and send the day's plan as a WhatsApp message. Their replies land in the same inbox.

What happens when a customer replies "leave it with the neighbour"?

The reply lands in your inbox as a follow-up, in the same thread as the update you sent. Your team answers there and passes the note to the driver before the stop.

How does Buddy handle personal data?

Buddy is built for GDPR. You choose which fields come in, consent and opt-outs stay on record, and our DPA and privacy policy cover the rest.

What does WhatsApp charge for these messages?

Meta charges for business messages by message type and country. Your Buddy plan is separate from that.

Fewer wasted trips. More parcels delivered first time.

Join the waitlist and tell us what you deliver. We'll send back the plays that fit your runs.
